Winter 2012 Schedule of Classes

Reflexology (30 hours)  will be offered Wednesday evenings January 4—March 14 from 6:00–9:00.  The instructor is Marlana Flaherty.  This course is required for the diplomas in therapeutic massage and reflexology.  There are no prerequisites.  The tuition of $475 includes  the text and oil.

Qigong (Chinese yoga)  (6 hours) will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 on January 12, 19 and 26.  The instructor is Arlyne Hoyt.  There are no prerequisites.  This class is required for the diploma in reflexology.  The tuition is $90.

Reiki I  (14 hours)  will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, January 14 & 15 from 10:00-5:30 by Karin Phillips.  There are no prerequisites.  This class is required for the diplomas in reflexology and alternative healing.  The tuition is $165.  The book must be purchased  separately.

Anatomy and Physiology (B)  (65 hours) will be taught on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-8:30  beginning March 6 by Ruth Steck.  This is one half of a course that is required for all of the diploma programs.  There are no prerequisites.  The tuition is $575.  A textbook and workbook must be purchased separately.

Aromatherapy I  (6 hours) will be offered on Saturday, January 28 from 10:00-4:30 by Linda Weihbrecht.  There are no prerequisites.  This class is required for all three diploma programs.  The tuition is $115.

Yoga  (16 hours) will be taught on Wednesday evenings January 8—March 28 from 6:00–8:00 by John Miller.  There are no prerequisites.  The tuition is $145.

Reiki II  (14 hours)  will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, February 11 & 12 from 10:00-5:30 by Karin Phillips.  The prerequisite is Reiki I.  This class is required for the diploma in reflexology.  The tuition is $225.

Chair Massage  (32 hours)  will be taught  on Saturday and Sunday, February 18 & 19 and March 3 & 4 from 9:00-5:00.  The instructor is Susan Hepler. There are no prerequisites. The tuition is $450.  (A massage chair may be purchased separately by the student.)

Shiatsu II  (30 hours)  will begin on Thursday, February 23 from 6:00 –9:00.  The next class will be on Saturday, February 25 from 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00; then Thursday evenings on March 1,8 & 15 from 6:00-9:00, Sunday, March 11, 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00, and Saturday, March 17, 9:00-12:00 & 1:00-4:00.   Arlyne Hoyt is the instructor.  The prerequisite is Shiatsu I.  The tuition is $365.

 

Aromatherapy II  (6 hours)  will be taught on February 26 from 10:00-4:30 by Linda Weihbrecht.  The prerequisite is Aromatherapy I.  This class is required for the diplomas in therapeutic massage and alternative healing.  The tuition is $135.

Reiki III  (7 hours)  will be offered on Saturday, March 10 from 10:00-5:30 by Karin Phillips.  The Prerequisite is Reiki II.  This class is required for the diploma in reflexology.  The tuition of $225 does not include the text.

Introduction to Cranio-Sacral Therapy  (12 hours)  will be taught on Saturday and Sunday, March 24 & 25 from 9:00-4:00 by  Norma Hayhurst.  There are no prerequisites.  This class is required for the diploma in therapeutic massage..  The tuition is $250.

Reiki Master  (14 hours)  will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, April 14 & 15  from 10:00-5:30 by Karin Phillips.  The prerequisite is Reiki III.  The tuition is $450.

Myofascial Release I  (45 hours) will be offered on Saturday and Sunday, April 21 & 22 and Friday  – Sunday, April 27-29 from  9:00-6:00.  The instructor is Sandra Snyder.  This class is required for the therapeutic massage diploma. The prerequisite is therapeutic massage or permission of the instructor.  The tuition is $675.

Please note:  A non-refundable deposit is required to hold a place in a class.

  1. i was just wondering if any of these upcoming classes could be used for my ceu’s and if the cpr class was coming up any time soon?

  2. Lydia – You can take the Shiatsu level 2 for continuing education credits. You need to let us know whether your cpr card is still valid. I suggest you call the school to get more detailed information. Thanks for you question.
