Spring 2011 Schedule of Classes

Thursday evenings, January 13-17, from 6:00-8:00.

Qigong (6 hours):  Instructor -  Arlyne Hoyt.  Tuition – $90.

This course (Chinese yoga) uses movement instead of postures.  This class is required for the reflexology program.

Feb. 6, 12, 13, 20, 26, and 27 from 9:00-4:00.

Neuro-Muscular Therapy (36 hours): Instructor – Ruth Steck.  Tuition – $525.

The prerequisite is therapeutic massage (Anatomy & Physiology recommended).  This class is required for the Therapeutic Massage Diploma.

Thursday, Feb. 10 from 6:00-9:00.

Seminar:  HIV and the Workplace (3 hours):Instructor:  Lisa Hepner-Wehr.  Tuition – $65.

This class is required for all three diploma programs.

Wednesday evenings, Feb. 2-April 4 from 6:00-9:00.

Reflexology (30 hours): Instructor – Marlana Flaherty.  Tuition – $475 (includes book and oil).

No prerequisites.  This class is required for the therapeutic massage and reflexology diploma.

Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 from 10:00-5:30.

Reiki II (14 hours): Instructor – Karin Phillips.  Tuition – $225.

The prerequisite is Reiki I.  This class is required for the diploma in reflexology.

March 12, 13, 26 and 27 from 9:00-5:30.

Chair Massage (32 hours):      Instructor – Susan Hepler. Tuition – $450.

There are no prerequisites.

Tuesday evenings, March 22-August 16, from 5:30-8:30.

Anatomy & Physiology B (65 hours):  Instructor – Ruth Steck.  Tuition – $575.  A textbook and workbook must be purchased separately.

This is half of an anatomy and physiology course that is required for all of the diploma programs.  There are no prerequisites.

Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 from 9:00-4:00

Introduction to Craniosacral (12 hours):    Instructor – Norma Hayhurst.  Tuition – $250.

This course is required for the diploma in therapeutic massage.

Saturday, April 9 from 9:00-5:30.

Seminar: Massage for Mortals:  Working with People who have Cancer (8 hours): Instructor – Ruth Steck. Tuition – $175.

There are no prerequisites.  This class is required for all three diploma programs. from

Saturday, April 16 from 9:00-5:30.

Reiki III (7 hours):  Instructor – Karin Phillips.  Tuition – $225 plus the book ($19.95)

The prerequisite is Reiki II.  This class if required for the reflexology diploma program.
